An Indian Navy official posted with the Southern Naval Command in Kerala’s Kochi has been arrested for allegedly spying for Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI. The accused has been identified as  Lance Naik Adarsh Kumar alias Lucky, a resident of Agra in Uttar Pradesh.

Passengers flying with Air India will soon have to pay more for their tickets as the airline has announced a fuel surcharge due to a sharp rise in jet fuel prices. In a statement, the airline said it will levy a surcharge of Rs 399 on domestic flight tickets starting March 12. The carrier also confirmed that fuel surcharges on international flight tickets will be increased.

Hotels and restaurants in Bengaluru may begin shutting down from Tuesday after a sudden disruption in the supply of commercial LPG cylinders. The warning was issued by the Bangalore Hotels Association, which said many restaurants did not receive their regular gas supply on Monday. Commercial kitchens across the city depend heavily on 19-kg LPG cylinders for daily cooking. With supplies unexpectedly stopping, restaurant owners say they may struggle to continue operations if the situation does not improve soon.

A video circulating on social media appears to show an Iranian naval vessel exploding at sea, reportedly after being hit during a United States military strike. The footage was shared by several defence-tracking accounts online and is said to show the incident near Bandar Lengeh in the Persian Gulf. According to reports, the ship seen in the video is believed to be a Shahid Soleimani-class missile corvette operated by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy (IRGCN). 

The government has extended the gap between LPG cylinder bookings from 21 days to 25 days. The Petroleum Ministry clarified that this change ensures that domestic households get a fair and timely supply of LPG. Officials noted that some consumers had been booking cylinders much earlier than allowed, creating the risk of shortages in certain areas. “Domestic consumers will always be a priority,” government sources cited by various media reports said.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Monday announced the T20 World Cup 2026 Team of the Tournament, with four Indians making the cut. Sanju Samson, Ishan Kishan, Hardik Pandya, and Jasprit Bumrah were named in the elite XI. Meanwhile, Aiden Markram, who captained South Africa in the global event, has been appointed captain of the Team of the Tournament.
