India cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar and ODI and Test captain Shubman Gill reacted to the ongoing students’ protests in Delhi against the alleged NEET paper leak. Tendulkar shared an anecdote on his father’s teachings from the early days and hoped that the nation would find a solution to the problems being faced by the students.

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan on Thursday appealed to students protesting over the alleged examination paper leak to prioritise their safety and return home. In a message shared online, the actor said students should not worry about their safety or make their parents worry, and expressed confidence that strict action would be taken against those responsible for the leak.

Union Health Minister JP Nadda on Wednesday responded to Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi’s claims of alleged paper leaks in the last 10 years in India. Nadda stated that the alleged 152 paper leaks are a “matter of investigation” and vowed to discuss the ongoing NEET-UG paper leak issue – which led to a huge protest in Delhi – in Parliament.

Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi laid down three demands in support of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) as he hit out at the central government during a media briefing on Wednesday, July 21. Gandhi reiterated the first and foremost demand: the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, in the backdrop of the alleged NEET paper leak, which led to huge protests in the national capital and several other states. 

In a dramatic turn of events, Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, along with Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav and other Opposition leaders, were forcibly removed and detained by Delhi Police on Tuesday after staging a dharna outside Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s residence at Lok Kalyan Marg, demanding his resignation over the NEET controversy and the police action against student protesters.
