Nepal’s National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA) has issued a fresh warning over rising flood flow in the Bhote Koshi River as rescue operations continue following devastating flash floods along the Nepal-Tibet border. The District Administration Office, Rasuwa, has received information about the sound of increased flood flow in the river and urged people to remain cautious in areas around the river across Rasuwa, Nuwakot and Dhading.

The stage is set for the India women’s team to kick off their campaign in the Women’s Asia Cup 2026. The woman, 97-year-old Guna Maya Bohara, was pulled alive from the rubble of her care home after a four-hour rescue operation.

As it continues to reel with the aftermath of the flash floods that left hundreds dead, Nepal has agreed to accept foreign help for search and rescue operations, reversing its earlier decision. The development comes amid pressure by countries whose nationals are missing following Wednesday’s tragedy.
