Iran rejects US’ Mojtaba Khamenei is ‘disfigured’ claim, says ‘no issues with new Supreme Leader’

Iran’s foreign minister Abbas Araghchi has dismissed speculation about the health of the country’s new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, saying there are no problems with his condition, reports say. The clarification came after reports and comments from a senior US official earlier this week suggested the Iranian leader might have been injured or in poor health. Iranian officials have now rejected those claims, insisting the Supreme Leader is fine.
