US changing stance? Trump says not putting troops ‘anywhere’, top aide mulls lifting sanctions on Iranian oil

US President Donald Trump on Thursday refused to deploy troops in Iran, but stressed that the Middle East nation continues to remain a ‘serious threat’ to the world, adding that every country agrees with him. The Republican president made the remarks following a bilateral meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi at the White House in Washington, DC.
