PM Modi’s car diplomacy: A bonhomie with world leaders in pictures

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday launched a blistering attack at Congress and Jawaharlal Nehru, and alleged that the former prime minister of India was ‘compromised’. The saffron party said Nehru always acted like a British, claiming that he made mistakes ‘intentionally’ to ensure that the country gets ‘compromised.

Horror descended upon a family in Goa, Assagao, after a group of youths riding in a rented Thar crashed it into another car, killing a 65-year-old man from Bhopal and injuring two others, earlier this week. The Supreme Court has taken suo motu cognizance of the addition of a chapter on “Judicial Corruption” to the NCERT’s Class 8 Social Science Book. The CJI expressed “serious concern” and said he had taken cognizance of the matter and could take suo motu action. “I will not allow anyone to defame the institution. The law will take its course,” said CJI. 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi featured prominently on the front page of Israel’s leading daily Jerusalem Post, on Wednesday (local time), ahead of his two-day visit to Israel.
